Supported by donations from the New South Wales State government and all the New South Wales based universities listed below, the Fulbright New South Wales Scholarship was announced on 17 March 2009.
The Fulbright New South Wales Scholarship provides an opportunity for a talented New South Wales resident to undertake postgraduate or postdoctoral study or research in the United States for three to twelve months depending on whether you are a postgraduate or postdoctoral applicant. The Scholarship is open to any field of study.
Projects for this scholarship need to focus on topics or issues relevant to New South Wales, and applicants are required to clearly articulate the benefits of this research to the state, as well as Australia.
The inaugural New South Wales Scholarship was presented in 2010.
