FULBRIGHT WESTERN AUSTRALIA SCHOLARSHIP

Established by donations from the WA government, WA based universities, Austal and WA companies, foundations and individuals listed below.

The Fulbright Western Australia Scholarship was launched by Ambassador Robert D. McCallum, U.S. Ambassador to Australia, at the University of Western Australia in April 2007.

The Fulbright WA Scholarship provides an opportunity for a talented West Australian resident to undertake postgraduate or postdoctoral study or research in the United States for three to twelve months depending on whether you are a postgraduate or postdoctoral applicant. The Scholarship is open to any field of study.

Projects for this scholarship need to focus on topics or issues relevant to Western Australia, and applicants are required to clearly articulate the benefits of this research to the state, as well as Australia.

2008 Tony Robinson University of Western Australia The study intends to utilise molecular biology and analytical chemistry to further develop understanding of the environmental influences that drive synthetic and catabolic pathways leading to aroma and aroma precursor compounds found in grapes intended for wine production.
